Eurovision and strawberry pie

Hello to everyone!

Sorry for not writing for quite a long time! :) So a lot of things happened since my last post was published. I don't remember all of the details which happened during last 2 weeks but I'll try to express about some of them...
First of all EUROVISION... This year I was watching Eurovision in a big restaurant called Tropicano here in Kemer. It was fun! I'm very happy about the winner, he was one of my favourites from the very beginning - cheerful song, handsome guy, magnificent and at the same time simple performance. I'm proud that Baltic States gave 12 points to Norway as well, I think this year Eurovision was quite fair... Anyways my favourites did quite well. I love Estonian and Icelandic songs as well. ahh... When I heared Estonian song I felt soooooooo Estonian for a minute, I miss a bit this country and people, this calm and ordinary, planned life... I was a bit sad about Portugal, I think they were suppose to be in a bit higher position, anyway Lithuania didn't do that good as well but it looked very proffesional... About Azerbaijan, I felt a big preassure from Turkish and Azeri people to admit that the song was brilliant, I'm sorry guys it's not my type of song and I wouldn't vote for it...
In conclusion I hope that after Turkey didn't do that well in Eurovision they are going to stop to play Hadise every 5 minutes... After listening that song 10th time in a row I felt really sick. It's good song, but in Lithuania we have kind of expression: "That what is too much is unhealthy".

2nd thing what I mostly remember from my last too weeks is a strawberry pie... Do not think that I'm obsessed by the strawberries... As you probably all know I'm eating in a hotel called Astoria... And mostly Russians are eating there... Well I'm sorry again talking about Russian ethical culture (I have Russian blood as well too so it is not intolerance or Russiaphobia)... So what happened when I entered the restaurant I saw a wonderful pie with a lot of red, fresh strawberries on it... After I ate my hot dish I was ready to take a piece of the pie... And what happened... The pie was still there... but without strawberries on it!!! :O and still one woman was collecting the last strawberries around... I was totally shocked and woman saw my embarrassment in my eyes but she discomfited for a while and was continueing to take the last strawberries...

Some nice thing happened yesterday... Finally I started to sell excursion to the customers as well. It means I'm going to earn a bit more... My first clients were Romanians... unfortunatelly they didn't buy anything... But still it's a good step after a while...

Kisses to everyone I miss you a lot!

Your Oscar

Strawberries

İyi günler, arkadaşlaram!

Officialy today I'm dead... And I have right to be!!! Why?!? These last two days I was working as a donkey [it's the Lithuanian expression describing hard work]... I'm just wondering how can I still be so powerful and smile to everyone wishing pleasant stay in Turkey or flight... [joke from yesterday conversation: "atrabotinaj" smile (for Russian speakers it will be clear)]... My Russian is getting better and better every day, but I'm doing such a funny mistake :D :D :D... So why am I dead? Well everything started yesterday morning (oooh long time ago :) ) I woke up at 4:30 AM in order to do departure tranfer for Lithuanians... And... later arrival transfer for Lithuanians... So I was back to office at around 1:30 PM... I managed somehow to get something to eat and then at 4:00 I was going to give an excursion for mixed group of Latvians and Lithuanians... Since my Russian is not so good and my creed doesn't aloud to speak to Latvians and Lithuanians in Russian I was giving information in two languages (Latvian+Lithuanian)... Believe me it was hard and tirening...
So my first ever excursion went quite well and it seems people were happy... Anyway from excursion we can back at around 2:20 AM and after ten minutes I was already in my bed... And guess what at 6 in the morning I was suppose to do transfer from the airport! Nice no?!

Anyways I'm even starting not to think what I'm writing here... I'm just happy I got finally in touch with some other guides from my company and I have with whom to talk and we even found some things in common! I'm trying to be as I'm = nice :D :D :D

Soooo... but I think i know who charged me with some extra energy... It were strawberries which I got from cute Lithuanian guide! I was so happy to taste this soury-sweet berry first time this year... Mmh...

Anyways my dear friends! Kisses! And Hugs :) and all other warm expressions which makes you happy!

I love you, I love you not! :)

Your Oscar Türkiz :) :)

Sunshine after the rain...

Hello my dear people I love! :)

It takes the bun, but we had 2 days of strong rain here in the region of Antalya... I know that in Lithuania it was even warmer than in Turkey (amazing, no?!?!?). And in Lithuania poor people don't have rain already for more than one month. Lucky you! :) But anyway after the rain everything looks fresh, even the people started to smile brighter and to be nicer. :)

So on Sunday I had day-off and I decided to go to Antalya to visit my new friend Özgür from CouchSurfing.com. Once again I'm happy that something like CS even exists! That day I finally saw the sea, but for me it was still cold to swim... Well I still have enough time for this! :) After wonderful Sunday the rainy Monday came... It was absolutely dark everywhere... I even didn't want to go out from my tidy, warm hotel room... Anyways... in order to get some stuff for my stomach I kicked out myself from the hotel (believe me, I was really thinking better to suffer but not to go out)... Later in the office it turned out that I have one more day-off... I was absolutely wondering how it can be, but anyway... it is still not a high-season and there isn't that much work to do... So in general I spent the whole day in my room... I was so lazy... My luggage was still unpacked and my clothes were all around it... But I really didn't have enough power to tidy everything away... Anyways... In the evening I got the phone call from Ismael saying that on Tuesday I need to be in the office at 5:00 AM... It means I need to wake up at 4:30... Well I thaught it was good reason to go to sleep earlier! I was NEVER doing it before in Lithuania or even ARMENIA... Well maybe I'm chaning to a good side??? Who knows, we will see in 6 months :)
Tuesday morning... it was awful... a lot of rain drops were still falling on the slippery white paver. It was silent all around the hotel except the drops falling into puddles... So I made my transfer together with some Turkish boy called Asi or Isa... He told he is studying Tourism in Antalya, well he looked not older than 17... Anyways it was nice to talk with him, at least I got to talk to someone... Everyone is so busy around me... In the airport I met my friend Özgür... It was his first day at his work, and what a coincidence he was cheking-in the passengers flying to Vilnius, so we got some 30 minutes to talk about the life and "wonderful" weather in Antalya. Later I met tourists who came for holidays... Haha they didn't seem to be very happy because of the weather conditions... I felt quite exhausted to talk with every second person from the plane about the weather in Turkey... I just smiled and wished a pleasent stay in Turkey... Mamma mia...

So today is Wednesday and I have day-off again... I still don't know about tomorrow... But I kinda feeling I'm going tomorrow to the airport again... :) It means I need to go to sleep today quite early :) anyways I like this kind of transfers, I need just to smile and to answer some questions... All other texts are recorded into the CD :) So basicly I'm announcing only the name of the hotels... Today I finally unpacked... I put all my clothes into the cupboard. It looks much nicer now and my room became even more bigger!

Today I got an invitation from Özgür to go to celebrate some Turkish fest called "Hıdırellez" (acctually it's today) on Saturday. I hope I'll have free day it should be nice to meet him and the whole CouchSurfing community on the Lara's beach, to have some BBQ...

By the way for my dear ladies (especially Liena)... Today I found out that I have kind of spider ferm in my room... So I kicked them all out... I didn't kill them, just kicked them out... No injuries were made during this process... But I need to admit that in the night I killed one mosquito who tried to bite my sweet skin... haha bastard... He didn't know I'm stronger when it is... :) OK for now that's it! I'm adding some photos I made on Sunday while I was in Antalya.

Kisses and good luck!

P.S. Thomas-Nicolai please answer to my e-mail!

My new friend Özgür :) Smile to everyone!

First days at work

Hello my dear friends!

So... I'm already 4 days in Kemer and Antalya (everyday since I arrived I'm going to/from Antalya)... So on the first day of my new job I went together with a group and another guide from Latvia to a very nice place called Tahtalı mountain. It's 2365 metres high mountain located near Kemer resort. On 1st May I had my first group from Lithuania. Well it was just a transfer from the airport to the hotels but still the first experiance here in Turkey. Later that day I was going to the excursion called "The Fire of Anatolia", it's an amazing dance performance! I was totally amazed by their dancing abilities and how through the dances they were construed an ancient myth. Amazing! You can see a part of their performance below ( I know it doesn't look that amazing on the video). But it is worth it to see it, to feel it, to live it! :)

Since I was going to do transfer at 5 AM and I was back from the dance performance at 1 AM I went directly to the bed... And next morning I musted to wake up at 6 AM to do the 2nd transfer for the Latvian music band... Hehe it was nice to see known person (a Latvian singer Amber) in my group. I mean the whole group consisted only from the musicians! I'm a bit proud the company asked me to make a transfer for them! Nice people! I'm looking forward to see Amber singing here in Kemer.

So I'm putting now the pictures (I found them on the internet) of where I live and where I eat. I'm living at 2* hotel Etenna near my office and I'm eating in another hotel called Astoria, which is near my office. It's as I understand a Russian owned hotel, so everything there is Russian Russian Russian :) The food is delicious there, but I'm afraid to eat the same food for 6 months :O :O :O

So far I don't have any friends here :( :( I feel a bit looser, but to be honest it's hard to find out what kind of people they really are... But I'm happy at least about that Latvian woman called Rudite, she is nice and explanes me everything I ask. I appreciate it a lot! And she knows sooo much about history and so on! She is really a good guide and I can't believe that someone could say some bad words about her! So this is it! Now I'm going to the office to ask Ismael (he is manager or smth likes this) if I really don't need to do something today or tomorrow :)

By the way I got uniform!!! :) I'll put the photo of it next time :D :D I look a bit funny with it! :)
